This collection of over thirty short stories and flash fiction pieces observe the gamut of life...some of it the author's, the rest relatable to readers who have several decades under their belts.
From thinking he remembers, as a six month old, being held by his soon to be killed soldier father, to musing about life a minute after he, himself dies, Joe Taylor has been and always will be an observer.
The observations in this book careen and bounce off that gamut of life to muse about, among other things, the making of the perfect cutlet, a contrarian view of The Villages in Florida, and a heartfelt obituary for the closing of a hometown service station.
In this, his fourth...and most likely final book (thus the title, One More Then I've Really Gotta Go) Joe's storytelling is infused with equal parts of insight, irony, and humor. While it is a book primarily related to aging (his and yours) no seniors were killed in the writing of this book.
