The author is an Emeritus Professor of Astronomy, retired from The Open University. Additionally, in his own name he has published five books on various areas of astronomy ranging from textbooks to books for a much wider audience. Recently he published a much lauded thriller for young adults 'Element94' (Lulu 2011), available on Amazon.
