A broken heart in tow, Steve finds himself back in the world, the only world he's known for the past thirty years or so, the world only a few weeks earlier had almost abandoned for a new world, an old new world where from the comfort of his barstool in Bar Eclipse, Calangute, Goa, narrates the tale of why to Karen, the incorrigible ex-pat Londoner running the bar. Starting the story when during the school summer holidays of June 1974, in the rugged rural Scottish borders village of Cullin, eleven years old Steve first meets ten years old Lorraine, the story unfolds through their journey from childhood to adulthood where unwittingly guided by life's mysterious ways; blossoming innocent childhood curiosities lead them on fearless adventures in which the intricacies of life and love, its complex conundrums, confusions, attendant heartaches and happiness, triumphs and tribulations encountered along the way exploring this world of childhood, impart many of life's lessons needed to guide them through this undiscovered world awakening all around. A world that in soon, as the innocence of childhood fades they will part ways and embark alone to face the realities of the great big world, the great big world they over the years so often wondered and imagined about what lay waiting. A story for adults who still remember and reminisce over those carefree childhood days when possibilities - fuelled by imagination - knew no bounds.
A world where adventures began and somehow never ended. A world where answers found became questions.
Hope you enjoy the story, one deep down we all know - but all too often forget.
