Since the arrest and detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the vocal orator, and master of the Radio Biafra, which took airwaves by the storm and was a thorn in the flesh of the Nigerian government, the agitations of Igbos and pro-Biafrans around the world have heightened and raised security concerns.
The agitation for the Independent State of Biafra has been a running battle with Nigerian authorities since the hostilities that led to the outbreak of a Civil War that lasted about three years. Though Biafrans signed a document of surrender and Biafra officially ceased to exist, the pocket of hostilities has continued to plague Nigeria.
