Beginning during the Pandemic, Sol Nte started drawing random cartoons and comic pages, as the number of pages began to grow, no common narrative emerged and he began to see each page as a surrealist cartoon. When he had completed 300 such drawings he felt that was enough, the pandemic had been over for a while by then, and reality was slowly being restored to its default mode. These surrealist cartoons were inspired by James Kochalka's essay Craft is the Enemy, Harmony Korine, Lynda Barry, Mark Beyer, Chester Brown, Jeffrey Brown, John Porcellino, Ivan Brunetti, Daniel Clowes, Robert Crumb, Philip Guston, George Herriman, Richard Brautigan, Kevin Huizenga, Lewis Trondheim and Jim Woodring!
