Aaron Lopez And Judah Touro: A Refugee And A Son Of A Refugee is a historical biography written by Morris Aaron Gutstein. The book tells the story of two Jewish immigrants who came to America in the 18th century and went on to become successful businessmen and philanthropists. Aaron Lopez was a Portuguese Jew who fled to America to escape the Inquisition and became a prominent merchant in Newport, Rhode Island. Judah Touro was the son of a Sephardic Jewish refugee from France and went on to become a wealthy real estate investor and philanthropist in New Orleans. The book explores their lives and accomplishments, including their contributions to the American Revolution and their efforts to support education and healthcare for their communities.
