The melty summer sun hung hot overhead. Abigail Ann, known by all as Abby, could feel it beat warmly on her back.

A fun and colorful story about a young girl who rescues an injured frog on a busy bike path, and then uses her ingenuity to design a lasting solution so no more frogs get hurt.

Written by female Oxford conservation biologist, Hunter Doughty, and illustrated by emerging artist Sarah Wood, Abigail Ann is at the locus of science education and art communication. It seeks to empower children with the confidence to think and act scientifically - one frog and bikepath at a time.

30% of profits from the sales of this book are used to donate copies of Abigail Ann to Title I schools. This Bookshare Initiative seeks to increase excitement about the sciences, and promote reading literacy, self-efficacy, and outdoor play in children of all backgrounds.
