Jamie Newton is a little girl who lives in a small house. Her backyard is in the middle of the outback, in a land called Australia.
Kangaroos and Wallabies hop in the tall grasses. Koalas live in the trees nearby and Emus strut around. Dingoes howl at night and Platypuses swim in a small pond. Her favorite is the Kookaburra bird because it always laughs when she walks outside and that makes her laugh too.
Each day is an adventure. She loves to eat her lunch in a tree house her dad built and watch all her animal friends. Everyday Jamie picks which animal she will talk to that day.
