This manual provides information on how to rig configurations of the following: 55-gallon and 250-gallon collapsible water drums, 600-gallons per hour Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Unit (ROWPU), and the Lightweight Water Purifier (LWP). These loads are rigged for low-velocity airdrop from a C-130 or C-17 aircraft. The principal audience for TM 4-48.01/MCRP 4-11.3N/TO 13C7-2-1001 is all members of the profession of arms. Commanders and staffs of Army, Marine Corps, and Air Force headquarters serving as joint task force or multinational headquarters should also refer to applicable joint or multinational doctrine concerning the range of military operations and joint or multinational forces.
