Aloha, welcome to Plein Air Paintings of the Puna Coast, a gorgeous secluded oasis on Hawai'i Island. I'm grateful for the inner and outward vision of the two big O-O eyes in my K-O-O-B name, inspiring me to share this my sixth B-O-O-K, all celebrating interplay of la and po, light and night, key to the blissful base manifest here at Kalani Honua and Kalani Kai educational retreat centers' ocean front points -- sites of convergent flows of sky, sea and lava land. L-O-O-K, see the ha essence of nature and 'ohana, the many breaths of which bring us together as human family and as a lei of aloha embracing our planet home in malama compassion and love.

I manifest this KOOB book with lava love for feeling, sharing, receiving Amour. Hence my life, art and website (https: //richkoob.wixsite.com/website) are about being A+ passionate as Artist, Accommodations-provider, Author, Athlete, Activist, Adventurer, and Amoureux (lover). In my youth I strived for A's. With ahonui patient and lanakila perseverant Aloha I embraced lifelong learning, while I also countered the 4 F military draft status I received due to being openly gay-bi (so, F for faggot?), a conscientious objector (F for anti-Fascist?), F for Failure? etc. Also I countered a glut of deportment checks as I challenged Catholic educators' attempts to be catholic authority. Painting, writing, singing, dancing, swimming, biking, hiking, and loving are all part of the exuberance I hope you too will enjoy in this my sixth book.
