There are words that refuse to be archived. They remain in a corner of memory like objects found in an attic: a little dusty, but intact in their truth. When they touch, they vibrate again, as if time had no power over them. It is from this mystery, from this silent persistence, that the book is born, and having collected verses already written means listening to a chorus of voices belonging to the same soul, but not at the same moment. Each poem is a window onto a landscape that no longer exists, yet continues to breathe. Rereading them, i understood that the past is not an immobile place: it is a territory that changes with us, which can only be traversed by those who are willing to walk slowly. In these pages, i have not attempted to reconstruct a chronological path, nor to order emotions according to a linear logic; i have preferred to follow the secret thread that unites what has been said to what still demands to be heard. Some texts have returned to light with the force of an ancient call, others have knocked discreetly, like guests afraid to disturb.
