Joe Piersante is a third-generation law enforcement officer who began his career with the Detroit Police Department. After a few years, he transitioned to the United States Department Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), where he was selected to be on the FAST teams. Joe was critically wounded on a tour overseas when he sustained a gunshot wound to his head. When many would have quit, Joe persevered. He fought back, and even after losing his vision from the injuries he sustained, he went on to excel in a number of areas, including becoming a professional bodybuilding champion.
