The fact that she was a special education teacher did not prepare her for the challenges the family would face. Nor the joy that could reside alongside the struggles. Matt's story reveals the unique trials of Down syndrome. And alongside it, the treasure of relationships, working, dating-all the normal and sweet things of life. You'll discover how Matt taught everyone around him to see through the eyes of unconditional love. Many lives were blessed with the birth of Matt and yours will be too. The book also provides references and resources for the reader. Kathy Woodard Jutte, an Indiana native, graduated from Dunkirk High School and Ball State University with her BS and MA degrees in Education. She also obtained her special education degree in K-12. Kathy taught 35 years in Ohio and has retired after 37 years of teaching. Her dream was always to write a book about raising a child/young adult with Down syndrome and her passion is helping parents live the joyful life alongside the diagnosis.
