Morgan's childhood was marred with witnessing drug, alcohol, and domestic abuse in her family. She vowed to never be a victim and never trusted getting close to men; though never admitting it. Her perception of a family dynamic wasn't a house on the hills with a white picket fence and it was not in her plans to ever become a mother because of an underlying fear that she would be like the one she had. It is very obvious how much she value and love her little sister, Logan, and vowed to protect her even if it meant losing herself in the process. Morgan would go to the end of the world to keep her sister safe. When the day came to save Logan, it was Logan who saved Morgan by killing her own husband. However, by being her sister's keeper, she started to learn a lot more about the woman she is and even found love along the way. This short story about Morgan Hixon-Chambers journalizes pivotal points of her life into adulthood. She discussed what had the most impact for her; good and bad. Though with her, happiness always came at a cost. Her first love was shot, she choked a girl on her high school graduation day, and two boys in college felt her wrath. Not to mention the disturbing images of herself in the mirror with blackened pupils and a distorted voice speaking to her at her low points. Giving up her dream career (when she lost her mind in a rage of revenge) wasn't planned, but she knew if she didn't, more pain would come and internal pain is what she didn't know how to deal with.
