The number of Australian artists who came to France around 1900 is surprising with close to thirty alone in Etaples. Jean-Claude Lesage's unique exploration of the Australian artist colony in Etaples, on the French coast, was published in French in 2000, and appears now translated by Pauline Le Borgne with over 90 illustrations.
