The term anxiety can be defined in several ways by the non-technical dictionaries: affliction, anguish, disturbance of the spirit caused by uncertainties in a context of danger, among others. When the technical aspect is taken into account, we can understand anxiety as a phenomenon that can either benefit or damage us, depending on its circumstances or intensity, which may become pathological, i.e., anxiety may damage us both psychologically (mentally) and somatically (physically). Anxiety stimulates the individual to act; however, when in excess, it does exactly the opposite, it stops people from reacting. Frequently, depression brings a series of periodic harms, which can be very particular, especially in individuals with mood swings. Such individuals go through strange emotional fluctuations, or mood swings. Sometimes, they see themselves on top of the world. They feel euphoric and exuberant, ready to do anything. They can be serene and jubilant, but most of the time, such expansive mood radically changes to shyness and depression. This book focus exactly on such individuals and proposes self-help techniques, teaching how to overcome such moments, through redirection and stimulation of thoughts.
