The Barnabas Foundation is an organization set up by multi-millionaire, Bruce Carey, shortly after his son, Barnabas, was born. The original purpose of the Foundation was to provide funding for churches to serve in the community. When Barnabas came on board with his father, the purpose of the organization changed to finding and funding trained lay people who would serve in various capacities in the community, but would be ready to go wherever and whenever a need was raised with the Foundation.
Choosing deliberately to hire only orphans and those sharing his initials, Barnabas scoured the colleges and universities to find twelve men. Breck was already part of his team.
The men are employed in various professions, their salaries paid by the Foundation, their main purpose to serve God and to provide encouragement to those around them.
