With death staring them in the face, Dmitry and Yuri have a choice to make - continue drifting through space until their oxygen runs out, or return to a damaged and mangled Space Station that's on fire and engulfed with flames.
After choosing the latter of these two options, they begin extinguishing the fires and isolating the Russian sector from the rest of the Space Station. This gains them some time, but how much they just don't know.

Upon closer examination of the fires, Yuri discovers something unsettling to suggest that the explosions were not an accident, but sabotage.

Left with the dilemma to contact Mission Control for help, Yuri and Dmitry decide to play the waiting game and break out the Scrabble, an old T.V. and a bottle vodka. On the T.V., they find out some unsettling information about Yuri's wife and have to listen to an implausible escape yarn spun by George London and his fellow astronaut Albert Wells. This enrages Dmitry and sends him into a self-destruct mode and gives him an idea for one last suicide mission!

Down on the ground, a weather installation in Scotland prepares to launch a rocket to open a hole in the Dome, but storm Ivan causes a delay. Yuri has inside information about the station, but most of it is useless until he produces his family cook book!

Above the station, the alien vessel lies in wait like a big black bear in his cave. For the vessel, it has been a long winter, but spring might be on its way. A journey into the unknown awaits Yuri and Dmitry but it could be just one more headache.
