Awhile back, Bill Neel lost his beloved support service dog, a Boston Terrier named Rocky, to an illness. Bill thought, Well, I'm an older person, and maybe Cactus and I could grow older together, since I'm in my eighties. That evening, they brought Cactus to Bill's home--and it felt like he'd always lived there. They told Bill to keep Cactus inside, as he might run away. Oh, was that wrong! Bill later said. As time went along he just about caused me to run away. And that's how Cactus and his newfound human gave each other a new leash on life. Don't you just love happy endings?
