The Chimes of Normandy is a comic opera in three acts, originally written in French by Charles Gabet and first performed in Paris in 1877. The story takes place in a small village in Normandy, France, and follows the misadventures of a group of colorful characters. The plot revolves around the rivalry between the two wealthiest families in the village, the Baronets and the Goujets.
