筆者閱讀中國歷史與文學等典籍，那無窮而博大的中華文化，讓筆者苦苦追求；那壯麗而光輝的人生智慧，讓筆者心靈有所棲息和成長；那精彩多姿的古人與史事，讓筆者孕育寫作意念。
追尋的小說是返璞的，不必憑藉時俗的武俠、玄幻等等形式的小說，小說說的是精彩多姿的史事、壯麗光輝的古人智慧、博大精深的傳統文化，都是中華民族之根！
現代中國人似乎沒有了根，百年來直至今朝的中國苦難，使人民千方百計逃奔外國(從前是逃奔、而今是投奔)，花果飄零而無根，這是中國的真實哀愁！尋根委實是國民教育的百年大計！

《莫浚匪泉》背景寫西漢末代衰敗，王莽篡權，全國混亂，劉秀起兵建東漢。
小說寫主角的亂世愛情故事，悲的令人傷懷不已，喜的卻使人暢心舒懷！
