Isn't 'waiting' the most daunting infliction? It is a pain that does not kill but it is also not easy to live with.
Waiting with the jitters of anticipation. Waiting with the doom of hopelessness.
Solitude magnifies the suffering, but then it enlarges the heart to accommodate a lot more than what we ever will. This is the beauty of solitude; we rendezvous with things that we never knew existed.
