This is the first book in Colton's Time Machine books. In this book, Colton chose, for his history lesson, to visit Christopher Columbus, August 11,1492 to help discover America. Then, off they go to the year July 4, 1776, the Pennsylvania State House to sit in on the writing of the Declaration of Independence. The final stop will be the summer of 1777, to throw stones across the Potomac River with George Washington.
From now on, Colton will be one busy little boy, finding and caring for eggs until they hatch, then going off on fun-filled flying adventures in Colton's Pocket Dragon books. Colton will then climb into his time machine, in the Colton's Time Machine books, traveling back in time to important events and meeting famous people.
