The book has three sections, and the first section is titled SHADOWS IN THE MIRROR. As youngsters, we soaked into summers full of stories, ghost stories, fairy tales and adventures. It was a dreamy state of mind which made our hot summers bearable at our hometown Nagpur. When we grow up, more times than not reality hits us hard and our imagination takes a backseat. Dreams are easily forgotten and occult events left unexplored because time teaches you not to believe them. It's the unnai of reality which is an inspiration for writing these stories. Adults too need the creamy icing on the cake of reality. So each story in this short collection of flash fictions deals with the questions in real life in an imaginative way. There are bugs and beetles, fortune tellers and dreams, which intrigue adults as much as they intrigue kids used as props to make the stories interesting. I immensely enjoyed writing these stories, hope you enjoy reading them and soaking into their juices, their fairy world. I wanted to name the book, Fairy tales for adults but I call it shadows in the mirror because the images they create are like shadow work, giving themselves away and yet holding themselves back
