This book contains 98 works of the great Polish composer Frederic Chopin. It is the first of 3 volumes of the complete works of his and is comprised mainly of scans of pre 1923 sheet music by various music publishers containing original copyright references. Overall it's a warts and all (although we have cleaned up and digitally enhanced as much as possible) reproduction of some very old manuscripts so there are some minor printing imperfections owing to the age and quality of these original manuscripts. There are also some recent 2018 editions type-set and copyright by Ironpower Publishing.
We have endeavored to put together in three volumes the most complete collection of Chopin's sheet music available. Contained within this first volume are 4 Ballades, 27 Etudes, 21 Nocturnes, 27 Preludes, and 19 Waltzes which highlight the brilliance of Chopin. There is a detailed 25 page biography of the life and times of Frederic Chopin at the beginning.
The book is then divided into 5 sections each containing a specific category of Chopin's catalogue of music: -
