It is because it is part of the production chain that money makes surplus value possible at the stage of commodity production. If money ends in itself, it also ends its meaning in relation to an objective reality. Capital ceases to move in the production process and, standing still, it becomes hoarding and not the capacity to produce value. It ends the industrialization stage prematurely and thus makes a structuralist development project unfeasible. The coup that was implemented against the public spheres was in defense of income. Which is, therefore, in defense of capitalism and its condition of maintaining inequalities and being averse to the exercise of full democracy. The challenge for social democracy is, therefore, to position Political Economy in the construction of another horizon, different from the present that is offered to most people in the country, and which in fact takes place through the exercise of participatory citizenship with its emancipatory potential contained in communicative rationality, through and for the defense of the Constitution.
