Spoilt at Church is a story of young Nigerian teenagers, who are faced with the challenge of sex, sexuality, relationship, parental guidance and control, and a society that is hypercritical.

Kike grew up under strict parents, who did not stop at anything to ensure that she came out as a well-brought up teenager and a balanced adult. She and her siblings grew up under rules that were meant to be obeyed at all cost. When Kike start asking questions about life and herself, about sex and sexual feelings, her mum isn't ready to give her any answer. She would have to seek for that from the society. A teenager like herself was is too eager to teach her that sex is good and is meant to be enjoyed.

Martha is beautiful, vibrant and active, especially in the church. That didn't stop her from having a boyfriend, who is also a member of the church. He would continually demand for sex, while Martha would vehemently deny him. According to her, her husband must meet her chaste and unbroken on her wedding night. Even with that, she allows the church-boy have his way in other ways; anal, oral and phone sex. Martha didn't know she's a technical virgin until she hears a sermon that pricks her in the heart.

Martha decides to give her life to Christ and to forsake every hypocritical way. Even with her mum discouraging her that her life is good as it is, she resolves to remain true to her new conviction. She would need to inform her church boyfriend about her decision. Eventually, Martha discovers that she's pregnant from an act that she claims is a rape. Did he really rape her?

He is responsible for the pregnancy. I made a decision at the last revival that warranted me cutting off the unholy relationship between us. He invited me to his house and raped me. - Those are the words of Martha as she stands before the church council to give the why, who and how of a 3-months-old pregnancy that she's carrying. Her father hides his face in shame. He will not be able to bear the brunt of his daughter's action especially with the evidences produced at the meeting - a nude picture, erotic messages and several others.

This is unacceptable, Mrs. Johnson cries out.
