All'inizio di questo settimo libroCreati per pregare, della serie L'eco della spiritualità barsottiana, desidero condividere con voi la bella preghiera di santa Teresa di Gesù Bambino. La sua preghiera è un modo davvero speciale e profondo per esprimere il suo amore per Dio, un abbandono totale e senza riserve che rende il suo rapporto con il Signore incredibilmente intimo. Teresa vive il suo percorso spirituale come un continuo matrimonio mistico, dove si affida completamente a Dio, senza alcuna esitazione. Questo bellissimo concetto delle nozze divine riemerge nella sua preghiera, simboleggiando l'unione d'amore e la piena dedizione.
La preghiera è uno slancio del cuore, è un semplice sguardo gettato verso il Cielo, è un grido di gratitudine e di amore nella prova come nella grazia; insomma è qualche cosa di grande, di soprannaturale, che mi dilata l'anima e mi unisce a Gesù.
Il totale abbandono di Santa Teresa di Gesù Bambino a Cristo affonda le radici nella profonda conoscenza di Lui. Non si tratta solo di una comprensione intellettuale o astratta, ma di un vero e proprio incontro personale con Gesù per questo lo chiama matrimonio mistico. Questa conoscenza, che nasce da un'esperienza intima del suo amore, rende possibile il suo abbandono totale, privo di paure o riserve. Santa Teresa ripone una fiducia incondizionata in Cristo perché lo ha vissuto come un amore misericordioso, fedele e vicino.
Quando dice che la preghiera espande la sua anima e la avvicina a Gesù, si può percepire un richiamo all'Eucaristia, che per lei rappresenta un incontro sublime con Cristo. È lì che lo conosce, lo ama e vive la sua presenza reale e trasformante. Per Santa Teresa, il sacrificio eucaristico non è solo un rito: è un momento di profonda comunione in cui si realizza l'unione delle anime con Dio.
Per Cristo, con Cristo e in Cristo, a te, Dio, Padre onnipotente, nell'unità dello Spirito Santo, ogni onore e gloria, per tutti i secoli dei secoli. Amen.
Le parole di Santa Teresa di Gesù Bambino sulla preghiera ci regalano quattro riflessioni fondamentali che illuminano cosa significhi davvero pregare:
- La preghiera è uno slancio del cuore: Per Teresa, la preghiera non è semplicemente un rito, ma un movimento spontaneo e sincero del cuore verso Dio. È un impulso d'amore che nasce dall'intimo della persona, un desiderio ardente di entrare in contatto con l'Amato. In questo slancio c'è tutta la semplicità e la purezza del suo desiderio di Dio, che non ha bisogno di parole elaborate ma si esprime con la forza dell'amore che brama incontrarlo.
- È un semplice sguardo gettato verso il Cielo: La preghiera è essenzialmente un gesto di fiducia, uno sguardo rivolto a Dio, proprio come un figlio guarda al padre. Questo semplice sguardo evoca l'idea di una preghiera immediata e senza complicazioni, in cui l'anima si rivolge a Dio con amore e fiducia, senza barriere o fronzoli. Con questo sguardo verso il cielo, Teresa descrive la sua intimità con Dio, evidenziando un rapporto diretto e autentico.
- È un grido di gratitudine e di amore nella prova come nella grazia: La preghiera non è solo espressione di gioia o richiesta; è anche un atto d'amore che si rivolge a Dio sia nei momenti felici sia in quelli difficili. Teresa sottolinea come la preghiera sia un grido dal cuore riconoscente anche nel dolore. È proprio nelle prove che diventa ancora più profonda, rappresentando un segno d'amore che resiste alle avversità .
