When Debbie Freeman turned fifteen, she collided with a wild bundle of energy called Zia Malangi. Together, they joined the dance and acting classes at their school and became inseparable for life. It is then she learns Zia's hatred for Jack runs deeper. When they were teenagers, Jack was Zia's first intimate partner and the damaging effects scarred her for life. Watching the mental breakdown of her best friend, Debbie fears she will have to choose between her blooming love for Jack and her eternal love for her surrogate sister.
