In Disquisition On The Evils Of Using Tobacco, Orin Fowler delivers a compelling argument against tobacco use. Originally presented as a lecture before the Fall River Lyceum in 1833, this work reflects the social reform movements of the 19th century. Fowler meticulously outlines the detrimental effects of tobacco, appealing to reason and morality in his call for immediate and complete reformation. This historical document provides valuable insight into the attitudes and beliefs surrounding tobacco consumption during a period of significant social change. Disquisition serves as a fascinating glimpse into the past and offers timeless reflections on addiction and personal health.
