Often in this mournful world, it would seem we find ourselves feeling discouraged more often than not, as the stress of countless problems begins to weigh upon the soul. Whether we like it or not... this planet is not always a happy place. In fact, it is many times incredibly sorrowful and devastating. This great pain, compounded by increasing tensions felt around the world, can make us despair and lose hope - as that which we once held dear, begins to crumble. How can I possibly endure? One may ask.
Yet, through it all, God watches over us, wishing to guide us on the way to His glorious kingdom - where there is no sorrow or pain. Sadly though for us, His presence is frequently felt more as an absence than an embrace. This can lead us to question His love for us...as we feel abandoned and forsaken.
Do Not Lose Heart, is a heartbreaking, yet inspiring collection of poems, written by a chronically ill young man who struggles with this very same thing - as he strives to have faith in God amidst his ever increasing pain and bodily weakness.
