Are you an entrepreneur? Want to come to the United States to start your own business and/or to buy a business in operation already? Don't have the $1,000,000 required for the EB-5? Well, the E-2 Treaty Investor Visa will require only about $100,000 investment and you can come to the U.S. to pursue your dreams.In fact, depending on the type of business, you might be able to invest only $50,000US. If you come from a country with a higher conversion ratio, then it is even less for you. Also, if you have equipment or products already, that can be used as part of the investment. For example, if you are starting a photography company and have $20,000 worth of cameras, you can use that as part of the investment. Another example, would be if you are going to start a trucking delivery service and you already own a truck worth $60,000, that would nearly satisfy the entire investment.

In order to initially even be considered for this type of visa, you will need to make sure that there is an E-2 Investment Visa treaty with the United States. While there are several requirements and this type of visa with its petition will try to show all those requirements, you cannot even begin if you are not a citizen of the country which the United States has a treaty.
While it would be better and more effective to use an experienced attorney, it is clear that many times people just do not have the funds to retain an attorney.
