For life, this is real kharma on earth. What we do in this world, during this lifetime, echoes down through the ages of our posterity. Sometimes the chain winds like a forest trail, and leads in brand new directions within an unexplored wilderness, and upon the edge of a vast endless horizon. New life soon replaces old, and we must finally come to terms, face-to-face, with our own mortality, knowing that life is but a dream like a fleeting stream of water that never stops flowing by. We watch, wade, swim and wonder, and only our verse captures the moment's passing.
