In this article I recount the experience of leaving Curitiba/PR on a 125cc Honda motorcycle, heading for the city of Natal/RN with the aim of visiting schools along the coast to research the effects of anxiety on learning. At the same time, it enabled students, parents and teachers to learn about controlling their own breathing - Pranayama - as a metacognitive strategy capable of controlling anxiety, increasing concentration and strengthening self-esteem. This contributes to improving the quality of teaching/learning relationships. Everyone breathes, the thing is to know how to breathe - 5th grade student, is an example of one of the many testimonies found in this report which aims to awaken the notion of something so simple in our lives - and which we don't give the slightest importance to - which is knowing how to breathe. By establishing a link between anxiety and the benefits of pranayama, I offer a solution to mental agitation, fear and insecurity and insomnia and restless sleep. The main complaints of the students and teachers involved in the research. Take a deep breath. And have a good read!
