Donald Fraser, a reporter for the 'Scottish Echo' newspaper, is in Kabul, Afghanistan when the Taliban take over the City. After a desperate effort to flee the city he arrives back in Scotland to be told by his editor of another assignment. This time he finds himself in the Democratic Republic of Congo. His mission is to report on hostages held by a rebel group in the North East of the county and to negotiate the release of at least one very important person. After the leader of the rebels puts an incredible proposition to him he finds himself at the controls of a jet aircraft. What follows is a series of dramatic, hair raising adventures.
