Book 2 of the Paris Knight trilogy picks up the adventure in the aftermath of the death of Paris' father - Gregory Knight.
As the story continues, Paris finds himself in the middle of a terrible fight with two other boys he met while vacationing on Mackinac Island.
As a fugitive on the run he is suddenly transported 8 years into the future where he meets up with an exiled and somewhat eccentric billionaire and scientist - Jonathan (Jack) Steele.

Together Paris and Jack must find their way back to Paris' home in Miami, Florida and deep underground to a secret laboratory of Jack's creation.
