John Wheelwright, His Writings is a collection of works by the Puritan minister and theologian John Wheelwright. The book includes two of his most notable pieces: his Fast-Day Sermon from 1637 and his Mercurius Americanus from 1645. In the Fast-Day Sermon, Wheelwright discusses the importance of repentance and the need for spiritual renewal in the face of a perceived decline in moral values in the community. The Mercurius Americanus is a series of essays that Wheelwright wrote during his exile in England, in which he reflects on the political and religious climate of New England and the challenges facing the Puritan community.
