The book is full of thrilling incidents, Turkish atrocities, battle, murder and sudden death, and Armenian villagers ravaged and laid waste by flames... The story is a thrilling one and remarkably well-told. There is not a dull moment in the book, which can be confidently recommended to the reader who prefers fiction of the actively adventurous kind.
