In Faithfulness Toward God and the Taboo of Perfection, Giscard Nazon challenges myths about the permanence of the rule of sin in a believer's life. Bondage to sin is how Jesus calls the state of a sinner who has not yet been saved by Him. Such bondage to sin therefore cannot concurrently exist with the belief that one is abiding in the freedom from sin that Jesus gives. As such myths feed the idea that a servant of God is bound to fail at being faithful to Him, the book especially addresses the impediment of the position that the lack of perfection, seen as an ability that no one possesses, means the inevitability of sinning deliberately (choosing to do evil). The subject of perfection in the Bible is thus proposed as an area of study for interested believers. The author also addresses the idea that judgment is always wrong and uncalled for and aims to thus open a channel of light that can heal, if that light is embraced in time and with peace.
