Adding the Pupils to the Drawn Dragon is a Chinese idiom originating from Records of Famous Paintings Through the Ages (Tang Dynasty). Legend says painter Zhang Sengyao drew dragons without eyes on a temple wall. When questioned, he warned: If I paint the pupils, they'll fly away. After adding the eyes, the dragons immediately came alive and soared into the sky. The phrase now signifies perfecting a work with one crucial touch.
