This work is devoted to 1.5D numerical modeling of charged particle transport in filament-type out-of-equilibrium discharges. The chosen configuration is a planar tip in the gaseous medium nitrogen. We opted for a hydrodynamic model (drift-diffusion model) derived from the self-coherent coupling of the first two moments of the Boltzmann equation to the Poisson equation. The conservation equations for charged particles subjected to strong density gradients and electric field variations were solved using Kulikovsky's zeroth-order Scharfetter and Gummel numerical scheme. The Poisson's equation is solved in 2D using the disc method, to take account of the radial expansion of the discharge (presence of very large space charges).
