In 1999, John and Megan Rock were called to step up their game in lay ministry. What they thought was supposed to be a simple six-month ministry engagement turned into a full-time calling that has lasted ever since. Today, the Rocks serve and minister to dozens of people who live in nursing and adult foster care homes in southeast Michigan. They minister to people who are not able to leave their homes to worship with a local congregation. The people to whom they minister have grown old, become ill, or have never known anything but some form of mental or physical illness and live in a care facility. These men and women are the forgotten church.
