S'inscrivant dans ce contexte agité et fertile aux réfl exions lancées tous azimuts, Krishnamurti engage une tournée américaine et rencontre les étudiants du pays, auxquels il s'adresse dans ce volume à la fois en prenant la parole avec l'intransigeance et l'ironie qui le caractérisent, mais aussi en privilégiant le système du questions-réponses, où l'on retrouve ses thématiques de prédilection: la vie, la mort, l'amour.
