Ce troisième volume de Héros de la Dissidence s'inscrit dans une démarche qui n'a pas pour ambition de séduire ou de convaincre par des slogans, mais de présenter, sans fard ni complaisance, des figures qui incarnent une parole libre, parfois en décalage, souvent en rupture avec leur temps.
Ici, pas de héros triomphants ni de récits édulcorés. Ce livre rassemble des parcours d'hommes qui ont osé penser autrement, parfois au prix de leur carrière, de leur réputation, voire de leur liberté. Ce sont des intellectuels, des artistes, des scientifiques, des écrivains, des militants, parfois des rebelles malgré eux, souvent des exilés de l'intérieur - ceux que l'époque a rejetés, ou qu'elle préfère ignorer.
Chaque fiche, chaque portrait, chaque chronologie raconte une trajectoire singulière, marquée par le doute, la remise en cause, l'engagement parfois douloureux. Certains sont connus, d'autres méconnus, d'autres encore sont volontairement tenus à l'écart du débat public. Mais tous partagent une même volonté celle de ne pas se taire, de ne pas se plier aux injonctions du conformisme ambiant, de ne pas renoncer à leur exigence de vérité.
Ce volume ne fait pas oeuvre de propagande ni de militantisme. Il se contente de dresser un état des lieux de la dissidence contemporaine, dans sa diversité, ses contradictions, ses échecs parfois autant que ses victoires. Il n'est pas question de faire l'apologie de toutes les prises de position de ces hommes, mais de montrer qu'ils ont incarné, chacun à leur manière, une moment de rupture, un point de vue qui bouscule, une parole qui dérange.
Héros de la Dissidence III est donc une tentative modeste mais sincère de comprendre ce que signifie aujourd'hui tenir un discours en marge, voire en opposition avec les grandes narrations dominantes. Il ne s'agit pas de glorifier, mais de témoigner. Et, peut-être, de rappeler que l'histoire n'est pas seulement écrite par les vainqueurs - elle est aussi portée par ceux qui ont refusé de se taire.
