Dieu a commandé à l'homme d'aimer sa femme comme Christ a aimé l'Eglise et S'est livré Lui-même pour elle. L'amour avec lequel Christ aime l'Eglise est un amour surnaturel, l'amour de Dieu. Aucun mari ne peut aimer sa femme naturellement d'une manière soutenue. L'amour naturel ne dure pas. Pour que le mari aime sa femme comme Christ aime l'Eglise, il faut qu'il reçoive du Saint-Esprit l'amour surnaturel de Dieu, et qu'il déverse cet amour sur sa femme. Du fait que l'amour de Dieu déversé dans le coeur de l'homme par le Saint-Esprit est continuellement disponible, il est possible qu'un homme reçoive cet amour et aime sa femme continuellement, et de façon croissante. Ceci procurera une solide fondation pour un mariage réussi.
