▎陸地傳奇--凝固的白色瀑布「棉堡」
土耳其西部竟有一座瑤池仙境？
西元1765年，英國古董商錢德勒旅行時偶然發現一片白色斜坡，
靠近觀察，竟如同一道凍結的大瀑布，看似奔騰的水面瞬間僵化了。
傳聞此地為上古神靈收穫和曝晒棉花的所在，久之棉花化為玉石；
現代科學研究出成分為石灰岩，源於周遭溫泉發生沉積作用所致。
不僅如此，棉堡溫泉的治病功效早在西元前就名聞遐邇！
這裡有一座名字聽起來很中二的古蹟--「亡靈之家」，
其實是一片有1,200個墳墓的墓地，據悉都是慕名前來的羅馬富豪。
▎地球發怒--歐陸唯一的活火山「維蘇威」
這座位於義大利拿坡里灣東海岸的活火山，海拔達1,281公尺，
擁有全球最大的觀測站，山腳正是知名的赫庫蘭尼姆和龐貝城。
維蘇威火山曾經噴發多次，並為周遭城市帶來了滅頂之災，
大爆發時濃煙扶搖直上並迅速分散，產生核子彈般的蕈狀雲，
雲裡伴隨著火焰似的閃電，再來是比夜色更加死寂的黑，
大量的火山灰覆蓋了原本繁華的市容，將之深埋於歷史之中。
▎峽谷風雲--美麗藍星的傷疤「東非大裂谷」
觀看地球的衛星照片，會驚詫地發現一條巨大的「傷痕」，
據研究，這是由於地殼斷裂、板塊分離並經過漂移運動所致。
這樣壯闊的「傷痕」，當中也隱藏著許多美麗的景緻：
