Along the way, she realized that the adversity and trauma of childhood sexual abuse and abusive adult relationships that once held her captive became her ticket to freedom.
It is the wound that catapults us into a greater sense of passion and purpose.
The insights that the author extracted from a severe illness and some transpersonal experiences reconnected her with her true self and the love that is the essence of all things.
Trauma is fragmenting and it leaves a devastating wound of separation. Mystical experiences can induce a powerful sense of interconnectedness-the keystone of healing and thriving in human life.
The author takes it a step further from the personal to the collective, highlighting the importance of breaking the silence surrounding these issues in order to move forward as a thriving society, creating a more prosperous future for ourselves and future generations.
Author's Note: This book was published for Kindle in 2015 and re-formatted for print in 2023. Freedom from the Story is about a transformational and spiritual healing journey from overt abuse. It was written while the author was still in denial about some deeper layers of the childhood psychological abuse.
