This is the first book in the series starting with a OBGYN
doctor on the run from the authorities after the takeover of
all of the governmental institutions by the White Christian
Nationalists and the subsequent collapse of democracy.
The setting is 2031 and he is an outlaw in the New United States for being a Muslim
and providing abortions and other medical services in underground clinics across the
country.
In this first book of the series, he meets up with an old friend who becomes more
than just a friend during their adventures together. Along
the way, they team up some other refugees as they try to
find a safe sanctuary in upper New England.
This book is the first in the series about a Dystopian United States under a Christian Theocracy. Book two will be about the rescue of the doctors sisters from a labor camp and subsequent escape.
Future books in the series will feature other people in different walks of life in the New United States as the citizens learn to deal with an ever increasing authoritarian government.
