Dieses Buch erklärt, wieso das alte Ägypten der Ursprung der Alchemie und des heutigen Sufismus ist und wie die Mystiker Ägyptens ihre Praktiken unter einer dünnen Schicht des Islam tarnen. Das Buch erklärt auch den Verlauf des mystischen Weges bis hin zur Erleuchtung, mit einer verständlichen Erklärung seiner Grundlagen und Praktiken. Es zeigt die Übereinstimmung zwischen dem altägyptischen Veranstaltungskalender und den kosmischen Zyklen des Universums.
Kapitel 1: Ägyptische Mystik und islamisierter Sufismus wird die Unterschiede zwischen den dogmatischen und mystischen Wegen erklären und wieso das alte Ägypten die Quelle des Sufismus und der Alchemie ist.
Kapitel 2: Der Schatz im Inneren wird die Beschränktheit der menschlichen Wahrnehmungsorgans besprechen und wie man mit solchen Einschränkungen die Realitäten findet. Teil II: Umwandlung von Staub zu Gold besteht aus vier Kapiteln (3 bis 6):
Kapitel 3: Der alchemistische Weg behandelt die Quelle der Alchemie, die im alten Ägypten liegt, das Fortschreiten auf dem alchemistischen Weg und die Rolle eines Führers während des Prozesses.
Kapitel 4: Der Reinigungsprozess umfasst sowohl die äu ere als auch die innere Reinigung während des irdischen Lebens
Kapitel 5: Der Weg zur Offenbarung deckt die Methoden ab, mit denen ein magischer Anwärter durch Offenbarungen Wissen erlangen kann.
Kapitel 6: Die Himmlischen Helfer umfasst die Rolle und Pflichten derjenigen, die übernatürliche Kräfte erlangt haben, um anderen auf der Erde zu helfen. Teil III: Die öffentlichen Volksfeste besteht aus vier Kapiteln (7 bis 10):
Kapitel 7: Die zyklischen Erneuerungsfeste erklären die Bedeutung des Abhaltens und Teilnehmens an den jährlichen Festen.
Kapitel 8: Beispiele von Festivals der Antike und Gegenwart erläutert etwa ein Dutzend der jährlichen altägyptischen Feste und wie viele von ihnen in der westlichen Welt bekannt waren und beobachtet wurden.
Kapitel 9: Die ägyptischen Jahrmärkte (Mouleds) behandelt die Hauptelemente eines typischen Festes.
Kapitel 10: Ägyptische Themen der traditionellen Santa Claus Festes bietet einen Vergleich zwischen den allgemein bekannten Nikolaus-Weihnachtsbräuchen und dem typisch altägyptischen Festes eines Volksheiligen. Teil IV: Kommt alle herbei hat ein Kapitel-11.
