Die Reihe DaZ-Forschung stellt aktuelle Forschungen zum Deutsch-als-Zweitsprache-Erwerb sowie zu Bildungschancen im Kontext von Migration und Mehrsprachigkeit in Form von Monographien oder Sammelbänden vor. Die Bandbreite reicht von empirischen und theoriebildenden Studien bis hin zu anwendungsbezogenen Arbeiten aus dem Kontext der Zweitspracherwerbsforschung, angewandten Linguistik, Bildungsforschung, Sprachdidaktik und Sprachförderung.
Thematisch umfasst die Reihe Arbeiten zu sozio- und psycholinguistischen Aspekten, zur Struktur und Dynamik von Lernersprachen, zu Sprachproduktion und Sprachverstehen ebenso wie Interventionsstudien und Unterrichtsforschung zu Sprachförderung und Bedingungen des Spracherwerbs. DaZ-Forschung ist Teil eines Reihenclusters, das durch die Reihe DaZ-Handbücher ergänzt wird.
Professor Dr. Bernt Ahrenholz, Universität Jena
Im November 2019 ist Bernt Ahrenholz verstorben. Wir trauern um den Menschen, den Wissenschaftler und den Mitbegründer der Deutsch-als-Zweitsprache-Forschung.
Bernt Ahrenholz gründete im Verlag De Gruyter 2010 zusammen mit Martina Rost-Roth, Beate Lütke und Christine Dimroth die ersten eigenständigen Reihen zu Deutsch als Zweitsprache, Mehrsprachigkeit und Migration.
Die rasch wachsende Reihe DaZ-Forschung wurde unter seiner Herausgabe zu einem gefragten Publikationsort des Feldes, ebenso die Reihe DaZ-Handbücher.
Bis zuletzt arbeitete Bernt Ahrenholz an einem auch persönlichen Rückblick auf die Forschung und die zweitsprachbezogene Sprachdidaktik der 1970er und 1980er Jahre unter dem Titel Ein Blick zurück nach vorn. Der Band wurde in seinem Sinne fertig gestellt und erschien 2021.
Das Anliegenvon Bernt Ahrenholz war, nicht nur die damalige Zeit der Geschichtsvergessenheit zu entrei en, sondern zu fragen, was ein Rückblick für unsere heutige wissenschaftliche Befassung mit einer von Mehrsprachigkeit und Migration geprägten Gesellschaft bedeuten kann.
Die Reihenherausgeberinnen - seit 2023 verstärkt durch Christine Czinglar - und der Verlag führen die Reihen dankbar und in Gedenken an Bernt Ahrenholz fort. Er fehlt uns.
